Join us at Echo Farm for a Ground Work Clinic with Allison Thurston

Join us for an arena demonstration followed by hands-on groundwork sessions led by international horse trainer Allison Thurston. We will explore the mental part of the horse and human relationship and learn how to get inside your horse's head aka 'Seeing Eye to Eye with the Horse.'

This clinic is helpful for horses living in a human's world, with an emphasis on the foundation skills every horse needs to cope with confinement, trailering and puny humans.

You will:

* Improve your understanding of the horse's world

* Learn to get a read on the horse's personality, energy level, and teachability

* Learn simple techniques to establish the Basic Rules of Engagement between species

* Learn how to inspire your horse's desire to interact to develop a more trainable, willing partner

About Allison Thurston

Allison Thurston is an International clinician in multiple disciplines with students ranging from pony Club to FEI level. She offers workshops, riding clinics, instructor clinics, lectures and lessons. As a former dancer, she has had a life long interest in the beauty of the intimate dynamic dance between horse and human.

Committed to being responsive to the horse’s needs, her journey has led to studies in French and Portuguese schools of dressage and work in dance, martial arts, yoga, Egoscue®, CR©, TTEAM®, Equiken® anatomy and bodywork. As a former scientist, her natural curiosity and keen sense of observation have drawn her to study techniques that enhance movement and sustainable health.

Her program emphasizes practical  strategies that enhance the well being of the whole horse-physical, mental and emotional.

With over 40 years of experience, Allison is an ARICP Level ll (Dressage/Eventing), US Eventing ECP Level lll certified, MA licensed instructor and a Surefoot Equine Stability Practitioner Level ll.
